OUR STORY......
We are survivors supporting survivors.

Why a retreat?
The Reconnect N' Revive annual retreat for breast cancer survivors began more than 20 years ago with a simple goal: to provide connection, support, and respite.

Our mission is to provide a supportive space where survivors can reconnect with themselves and others who truly understand their journey.

Since 2017, we have supported hundreds of women from the time of diagnosis, through active treatment, and into long-term survivorship.

Each year, approximately 80+ women from communities across Nova Scotia gather to reconnect with themselves and one another in a safe, uplifting, and restorative environment — and we hope to welcome even more participants this year.

There is an understanding that healing from breast cancer goes beyond medical treatment. While the physical journey may end, the emotional and mental healing continues—and no one should have to navigate that alone.

“For the first time in a long time, I felt free to be myself—no explanations, no expectations. Just accepted and understood.” – Retreat Attendee

How is the retreat funded?
As a registered non-profit (Non-Profit HST# R125030429), we rely entirely on the generosity of our community. We receive no outside funding, and every dollar raised goes directly to making our retreat possible. Please consider donating to support this meaningful experience.

Who organizes the annual retreat?
Today, the retreat is organized by a dedicated group of volunteer survivors —
We are Survivors supporting Survivors

Who can attend?
Anyone with a breast cancer diagnosis is welcome at the Reconnect N’ Revive Retreat. No matter what your stage, age, gender, or where you are in your journey—from newly diagnosed to long-term survivorship—you belong here.
We are always happy to welcome both
new and returning participants.

Why this retreat matters?

For many participants, the retreat is much more than a weekend away.

It is a turning point — a place where women who once felt isolated discover a powerful community of understanding, friendship, and encouragement.
Here, shared experiences transform into lifelong connections, and a weekend filled with laughter, learning, and healing helps survivors move forward with renewed strength and hope.

“For the first time since my diagnosis, I didn’t feel alone. Being surrounded by others who truly understood my journey was incredibly comforting.” – Retreat Attendee
